SAYS Social Media Manager

Grow, engage and support the SAYS community on social media platforms!

About the job:

We're looking for someone creative and fast with a strong sense of Internet FOMO-ness to:

  • Grow the SAYS community on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and the next big platform whatever it may be
  • Post shareable social media content (memes, galleries, GIFs, the occasional bite-sized video) that Malaysians can relate to
  • Promptly reply followers who message and email us
  • Provide social media coverage for events we're invited to
  • Provide social media support for advertisers through SAYS channels
  • Drive traffic back to the SAYS website through story postings
  • Work closely with the Audience Growth and Content teams to understand the SAYS reader profile better and identify gaps we can fill
  • Always be an early adopter of social media trends!

The person we're looking for:

  • 101% social media savvy and addicted to the Internet
  • Excellent command of English
  • Quick thinker, creative, knows and loves Malaysian pop culture
  • Independent, competitive, enjoys trying out new things
  • Basic graphic design & video editing knowledge (Photoshop & Adobe Premiere Pro)
  • You have an advantage if you have at least one year of working experience and/or have worked with brands before
